Starting early...
We had friends come visit yesterday. They have a 1 year old, Hannah, who is very cute. While they where here, Ben kissed her three times! The first time was right on the lips. Not quite sure where he gets this from but he definitely wanted to kiss her!!

Nate's Arrival

Nathaniel Wib Hawkins was born on Tuesday 22 June at 9 am. He weighed 8.3 lbs and was 20 inches long. He was born via c-section. We are at home now and things are great. We are loving being a family of four. Ben is doing awesome and has really enjoyed his time with his ShoSho. This delivery was so much easier and I feel so much better than after the last one. I will share more of the story later, but I know you all really just want pictures!! For some reason, when I uploaded the pictures, some of them are sideways. SORRY!! You can make them rotate. Almost Here!
Going to hospital to do preop stuff
Snuggling up to ShoSho
Sweet moments with my son!
Ben isn't quite sure about this big belly!
Tomorrow is the big day! We go to the hospital at 7 am and they will start the c-section around 8:30. So, we should have little Nate out shortly there after. I am really interested to see how big this guy will be! I am guessing around 8 lbs. We went today and did all the pre-registration stuff. Mom got in last night and is working on getting over jet lag. Crazy to think that tomorrow night we will have another son!!

My Mommy!
My mommy is on her way to visit us for 5 weeks. Ok, really she is coming to take care of us for 5 weeks. I know I am totally spoiled and so thankful that she is coming. She was here for two weeks when Ben was born and was such a huge help. How do mom's just know how to serve and love on you? I wonder if Ben and Nate will feel that way about me. Will they know that I would do anything for them? I am really looking forward to the time with my mom to just be together. It has been a long time since we have gotten that much time together. I am looking forward to the great memories and times with Ben and Nate. Allen is super busy right now with work and school so this will be a huge blessing to us. Plus, have I mentioned that we live on the fourth floor with no elevator? I know, when we brought Ben home from the hospital last year, I said, there is no way we would be living here when we had another child. Never say never!! Anyways, Mom, I am so excited about you coming and so thankful to you Dad for letting her come for 5 weeks, I know it is a huge sacrifice on your part! Ok, so my parents are too cute. They have written each other notes for every day they are apart!! Got to love that. What an example you all are to us after 35 years of marriage.

Sprucing up the place...thank you Google.
This is Allen. For the past few days I have been trying to spruce up the blog. Sara said that since we are soon going to be 3 guys and 1 girl it could have a more masculine theme. So I jumped on the task of trying to make the blog look man-cool. For several days I tinkered with it all the while complaining that Google, being an incredibly creative and forward thinking company should have made an easier way to dress up the blogs in Blogger. Well, last night they rolled out the new "design" feature. Ironic.
So we have settled on this theme. Seeing how we are a family with a mountain kind of guy and a beach kind of girl, don't be surprised if next time you take a look the Blue Ridge scene is replaced with a low country sunrise.
10 more days until Nate's arrival!!

Eviction Notice...
We went to the doctor today. Nate is doing great! He weighs approximately 6 lbs, 5 oz. The best news is that we scheduled our c-section date for June 22nd. It is really weird to plan your son's birth date. My mom comes in on June 20th and then Nate will be born two days later. So, 17 days till we get to meet our little son. I am so excited and can't wait to be a family of four.
