Shoes

While we were in Anderson, Gr. Ma Trudy took Ben to get some new shoes and a new outfit. Ben loves to say the word "shoes". Nate also got some new clothes but he slept through the whole event. Thanks Trudy!!

Great Grandma Richardson

I have an awesome Grandma. She is 91 years old and is still on the go. Nate's middle name is Wib. Wib was my grandfather's nickname, his given name was Wilbur. It was a blessing to be able to take Nate to see Gr.Ma. She kept saying over and over again that she didn't think she would ever see him!

Ben is loving exploring all of these new places!

Trip to Arkansas

On Sunday, Allen headed to New Orleans for class and I headed to Arkansas with my parents. We drove to Ashville Sunday night and the boys and I stayed in a hotel room together! Nate was in his poggy and Ben and I slept together. Ben did great! Then monday we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and headed to Arkansas. Here is ShoSho and Papa with Nate.

The hotel room had all these fun toys for Ben that were at the perfect height. I was feeding Nate and before I knew it Ben had the remote control in the microwave and had figured out how to turn it on! The microwave was only on for about a second before I stopped it but the remote never worked after that!

Cousins

Ben has been having a great time with his Hawkins cousins. It is really difficult to get them all to look at the camera at the same time! We have had a sweet time with Emma and Lillie Ann.

Haircut

I have been trimming Ben's hair but we had decided that he needed a good haircut. So, the day after we arrived three generations of Hawkins men went and got their hair cut (Ben, Allen, and Papa Hawkins). Ben did great and I wish I had gotten an after picture but this is the before picture and during. Some good looking guys!

We made it!

On the flight here, we quickly decided that people don't travel for 12 plus hour plane rides for fun with two little children! It was a lot of work and it was nice to finally arrive. We have had a great time getting to see family and friends but have all been fighting colds too. I am convinced that sitting on an airplane breathing recycled air for that long is just a breeding ground for sickness. Anyways, we are all starting to feel a little bit more like normal. Ben is loving his time with his cousins and LOVES the outdoors. Every morning he asks to go outside. As soon as we got to Allen's families house the kids started playing outside!

Escapee

We are in AMERICA!! YEAH!! Having a great time and I will post stuff from our time here but first...I want to post of few things from our last weeks in country. While we were at the guesthouse, Ben was having a little crib time and I was in the living room. About 20 minutes into crib time he came walking down the hall. This is his reenactment of how he got out of his pack and play.

Leaving on a jet plane...

I woke up with this song in my head because tonight we are leaving on a jetplane!! But before we left we were blessed with the opportunity to take some family photos. We had a great time and found out that it is really hard to get an 18 month old to sit still for a picture! Sweet memories! Grandparents are you ready for these boys?!
