Castles

The last two weekends we have gone and explored castle ruins near our home.  The boys have loved it and they have been the perfect size for our boys.

Last Sunday we went to Farnham Castle.

The boys exploring and playing hide and seek.

Then yesterday we went to Guildford Castle.

The gardens were beautiful.

There is a show here called Mike the Knight and Ben was so excited when we saw the castle because he said it was Mike the Knights castle!

Ben packed his little back pack for the trip and pulled out his binoculars when we got to the top of the tower.  He was too cute!  Thanks Gr.Ma and Papa, these have been some well used and very loved binoculars!

Then he went back to his bag to see what else he had brought.

Meanwhile Nate found the one puddle to jump in!

Tilgate Park

We have found this great park about 20 minutes from here.  We went a couple of weeks ago and checked out the Nature Centre and Playground.  Then this past Saturday, we went back for more playground time and a picnic on the little pond.

These are pictures from the Nature Centre.  They loved feeding the goat.  Until...Nate stood too close and the goat ate his hair because he didn't have any grass for him.  It is really cute to hear a 2 year old tell the story of the goat pulling his hair and how his mom saved him!  I hit the goat on this nose lightly.

They had a great puzzle that Ben enjoyed doing.

This past weekend we had a picnic lunch out in the park.  It was lovely.  Ben sat on the picnic blanket for at least 30 minutes eating and Nate ran around chasing a ball.

Nate wondering if he can venture out further...

Thankful for beautiful weather and great places to enjoy it!

Our little ring bearer!

Ben had the awesome privilege of being in a wedding this past weekend.  We had gorgeous weather and the bride was radiant!  Ben did fantastic and got down the isle with the bible and rings intact!  We had a wonderful time celebrated our sweet Emily's wedding!  Thanks for letting us be a part of such a special occasion.

I uninvited Nate to the ceremony.  A sweet couple watched him for us so we could enjoy the ceremony.

Ben with the flower girl!  She was precious!

OH, I just want to bottle this moment!

Escorting Emily out to the foyer of the church.

Ben with his treats for doing well in the wedding, a phone and camera.

Ben with his friend and sister of the bride!

Nate made his appearance at the reception.

"Cheese"

A bouncy castle at the reception.  The boys LOVED it!

Priory Park

We have had some great summer weather recently.  So, the boys and I are trying to take advantage of it.  Last week we went to Priory Park, once to play in the sand and then again to play in the water.

Ben was a little scared of the water shooting out of the ground at first but then he got into it.  Nate wouldn't get close to it.

This was one afternoon after nap time, we went to the park and played in the sand.

This is our sweet friend, Addy, she just left to go back to the states this week.  Ben thinks that everyone that leaves us goes to America!

London 2012

Last week, Allen and I went into London for the afternoon to be a part of the London 2012 Olympic excitement!  Of course, the first place we headed was to Chipotle, because who can walk around London without a stomach full of yummy goodness?!

We walked through Hyde park which hosted several events and also has huge screens set up to watch the olympics.  We had french runners and spanish runners pass us as they were out training.

This pic is for you, Trudy.  We found this cool water park that we will take the boys to on a sunny day sometime!  It reads "Welcome to the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain"

Allen's shot of me holding the rings in the palm of my hand!

We went to the African village, which is a free thing all about the African countries involved in the games.  Also a lot about tourism in those countries.  Always proud to see the Kenyan flag!  I have to admit that I do cheer for Kenya in the games when they are competing.

The Olympic excitement has been fun to be experience and an afternoon date with Allen is always great!
