Decorating Gingerbread Men

We had an fun afternoon playdate with Isaac and Sebbie!  They are so fun and the boys love spending time with them.  Marie made them a lovely dinner and I thought it would be fun to let them decorate gingerbread men.  We got to their house and Marie had actually started to make gingerbread cookies so they could decorate them.  It is fun to have friends that think alike!

Krispy Kreme

A couple of weeks ago the boys started asking if they could go to the doughnut shop.  I secretly think Allen planted the thought in their heads...So, one Saturday we didn't have any plans and we decided to head to the Krispy Kreme shop at a mall.

The boys LOVE sprinkle doughnuts!

After the doughnuts, we went to an American diner that has pretty good hamburgers.  I really do miss a good hamburger!

One day, Ben told me his had shot me and I  turned around in the car and he has shot me with his tongue!  So, that is now his fun thing to do!

Nate and I!  Love this guy!!

Christmas Party and Marshmallows!!

We had Allen's company Christmas party at the very beginning of December.  I organized a great little nativity for all the kids and of course, my children were the only ones that didn't participate!  Oh well, party of having a two year old and three year old.

Nate with Uncle Elias!  Nate LOVES his uncle Elias!

There were left over marshmallows from a wedding this past summer.  So, Ben thoroughly enjoyed roasting and eating the marshmallows!

Oh Christmas Tree!

The first weekend in December we went and picked out our tree!  Allen loves getting a real tree!!

I love the many faces of a 3 year old!

Checking out the trees.

Nate not quite sure what is going on.

This is the first year we have let the boys help us with the tree and they LOVED it!

We did loose a few ornaments in the process that I need to fix but it was worth it for the smiles and joy of participating!

We have a mixture of 110 lights and 220 lights this year!  Ben "helping" his daddy.

Trying his hardest to put the star on!

Let the decorating begin...

Oh that our holiday season would be filled with Joy!  What a wonderful gift we have been given by the birth of our saviour!!

May you have a very Merry or Happy Christmas!

Craft Time

Ben has really started enjoying making things and coloring!  It is definitely a new phase for us to have him sit for long periods of time coloring.  Nate is still very rambunctious but then again he is a two year old boy!  I bought a kit for making puppets and the boys had a great time making them.

Santa's Landing

One of the first weekends in December, Santa lands in a helicopter at a park near us.  We met some friends at the park and the boys had a great time together. The boys were so enthralled with the rides that they didn't really care about Santa!   We tried to go out to lunch afterwards but quickly learned that everyone makes reservations so the restuarants were all full.  Next year we will know...

Harrods Christmas Grotto 2012

The Friday after Thanksgiving, we went into London with friends to go see Santa at Harrods!

Our friends have a son that is a few years older than our boys, it was perfect!  Our boys just sat back and watched him talk to Santa and they interjected as they wanted to. We have never taken then boys to see Santa before and Harrods was REALLY nice.  Reminded us of Disney World.  As we waited there was a globe that the boys could touch and play with.  There was music and little stories playing on flat screens.  It made the short wait go by really quickly.

I love how festive London is this time of year!

Us with Santa or Father Christmas depending on what you prefer!
The boys got chocolates and a book after it was all done.  They thought that was the best part!

Outside Harrods, love all the lights.
