You ever have those no good very bad days?...where nothing seems to go right? Well, yesterday I had the opposite of a no good very bad day, I had a great day! Everthing seemed to happen perfectly. One of those days, where you wish you could spread out the exciting moments throughout the rest of the week. What was so great about yesterday? First, I called the embassy and Ben's passport had arrived. We had been waiting to get Ben's passport to plan/book our vacation. So, Allen went to the travel agency to book a vacation. When I got in the car to go to the embassy, on the seat was our vacation outline and instead of it reading 5 days/4 nights it read 8 days/7 nights! I looked at Allen and he just smiled...He said, "I thought you would really be able to relax if we went away for a full week!" YEAH!! So, we went to the Embassy and got Ben's passport.
From there we had a goodbye for a great friend who has been here for 2 years with us. VERY SAD to say goodbye! But some friends had just arrived from the states after 2 months there for medical reasons. They brought back pork bar-b-que for us for the goodbye party!! YUM!! They also brought a bunch of stuff for us from my mom and sister. I had my mom go shopping for me..so I got four new shirts, a new cardigan, two pairs of sandals, a head band, some makeup, some earings...it was like Christmas!!! YEAH!! So, now I have some great new summer clothes for vacation in two weeks!! Here I come Turkey!! Allen is wondering if we will get to eat any turkey while we are in Turkey?!
Yeah!!! What a great day! And way to go to Allen - what a great surprise and incredible gift! I'm so excited for you Sara - new clothes, new places, a new passport - woohoo! Thanks for sharing! I've got this huge smile on my face first thing in the morning and it's so much fun to be able to rejoice with you - even in another country! yeah!
