Folly Beach 1/2

We did it!! I asked my sister last fall if she would be interested in running a half marathon with me and she said, "Yes!". So, we started training wondering where we were going to get the time to train. I am so proud of her. She is a busy mom with two little boys, homeschools, and works full time, as well as being a great wife. This morning we ran the Folly Beach Half Marathon. All week long we knew there was a possibility of rain. However, I never dreamed that it would rain for the ENTIRE 13.1 miles! Towards the end we felt more like we were swimming than running because the puddles were so big.

Our cheering section, Luke and Hamilton, along with James. Allen held down the fort by watching Ben and Nate.

It stopped raining right at the end! But we made such good time we had to call James and tell him that we were coming in!

So, 13.1 miles done in 2 hours and 11 minutes. Not bad for two mommies in their 30's! It was great to run with you, Jen! Love you!!
