Last Monday morning we set out for our first English holiday. We had a great week camping and exploring southwest England. It was beautiful and just tons of fun as a family. Our first stop along the way was a picnic lunch and time for the boys to stretch their legs.
We arrived at the Wood Life in really good time for traveling in and around London. We ALWAY get stuck in traffic on the motorway around London. But on Monday we didn't!! You aren't given directions to the camp itself but to the home of the owners of the Wood Life. They then drive you out to the secluded 8 acres of campsite that was all ours for the 5 days. It is beautiful and I will post about the camp itself. We had beautiful weather on Monday and just enjoyed the afternoon of exploring the camp and the surrounding area.
There is a homemade see saw that the boys enjoyed immensely. Notice Nates dirt on his face. I really struggled with my boys getting dirty and messing up their clothes and mine for that matter. Anyways, after a quick rebuke from my Heavenly Father, I let go of it for the week and let the boys get muddy. I am pretty sure that I was dirty a lot as a kid in Kenya. Not really sure where that crept up from but I was not a very fun mom at first trying to keep Nate off the ground. Not sure how many pounds of dirt they ate but they were happy.
Yes, that is his passy! I did take it out of the play and just kept it for nap times and when I could keep it clean. He would put it back in his mouth with pretty much ANYTHING on it!
Enjoying the swing.
The fun tree house!
