Thanksgiving Day

We had a great Thanksgiving Day.  For the month of November, we added feathers to our Turkey.  This is one pinterest idea that worked!  YEAH!

Our turkey did have a bit of a bobble head by the end because Nate had beheaded it several times and the hole continued to get bigger.

Thanksgiving morning we had sticky buns and sausage and the boys opened their Thanksgiving presents.  Christmas pj's and christmas pillowcases.

They also got a Christmas felt tree and the book Ronnie Wilsons Gift.  The book is wonderful!  All about how we have been given the greatest gift of all, salvation.  The tree is another story.  Perhaps if I had little girls it would work but the boys just see it as something to deconstruct!  Oh, well, you win some and loose some.  Maybe another year.

Then the boys went to preschool and Allen and I had the morning together.  Wonderful!

Then in the evening we met up with some dear friends at a carvery for Thanksgiving dinner.  We didn't get the best pictures.  Eating out is always a bit of an adventure but it was fun to make memories.

Some of us were Indians and some pilgrims.

Then we came back to our house and told the Thanksgiving story, added feathers to our Turkey, and prayed.  And of course, had dessert!

I took the above picture, still figuring out the camera.  Allen of course has it all figured out!
Thanks Mayfield family for a fun, memorable Thanksgiving!
