Introducing Andrew Joe Hawkins:

Andrew meaning manly, courageous, strong.  We will call him Drew.

John records that Andrew was Jesus’ first disciple.  After his introduction to Jesus by John the Baptist, he went to find his brother Simon and took him to meet Jesus as well.  Andrew followed Jesus after his very first encounter with Him, and immediately shared Jesus with those around him.

One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means Christ). He brought him to Jesus.   John 1:40-42 ESV

Andrew was one who was seeking, first in the presence of John the Baptist and then Jesus.  Once he found what he was seeking, the Messiah, he spent the rest of his life pointing others to Christ.  This would be our prayer for our Drew.

Andrew’s middle name, Joe, is after Allen’s great-uncle Dr. Joseph Robert Weber.  He was affectionately known as Joe.  Like Andrew, he too was a close follower of Christ, a church planter, pastor, and missionary.
