Easter Eve

We had a great long weekend.  Allen had a four day weekend!!  YEAH!  On Friday, we went to our churches good friday service and then we all walk into town together as a church and meet up with the other local churches.  We did it last year and really enjoy the time together.

On Saturday, we had a party with Allen's work.  While the eggs were being hidden the children listened to the Resurrection Egg Story.

My boys thought it was more fun to wear their buckets as hats!

Monkey see, monkey do!

Ben took off on the Egg Hunt!  He was pretty determined!

Nate collected a few and then decided he would rather check them out then hunt.

Ben filling his bucket.

Nate still in the same spot eating an egg!

Nate deciding he might hunt for more.  We have had a really cold, delayed spring here.  Lots of little snow showers.

Allen and I, I love how you can see people in the window behind us.  they didn't want to come out in the cold.

The best Easter photo!  They are so fun but not really excited about taking a picture for mommy!

Easter Party

Today the boys and I had a little Easter Party for friends.  It was a blast!  I love planning and having a party!  My mom had found some really cute paper to use for invites, so I just HAD to have a party.

I was hoping the weather would be great and it actually was ok.  We had a few snowflakes at the beginning but it wasn't bitterly cold.  Pretty sure the kids still had a blast!

Here they are after the hunt!  We had nine children including Ben and Nate and their mum's.

When they first arrived, they all decorated their bags to gather their eggs with.  I had wrapped the table in paper and of course my boys just thought it was great to write on the table!

Allen surprised me and brought home flowers before the party started.  I used 6 eggs from the ressurrection egg series to tell the Easter Story.

We played pin the tail on the bunny inside.  While outside we had a bunny hop race and an easter egg race.

My Romanian friend and her daughter

Ben with Meagan, our babysitter, she came to lend an extra set of hands!  It was wonderful!

Nate looks like he is about to pounce on Talia!

Trying to round them up for a party.  They were mostly 2-4 year olds.

Our lunch and fun bunny cake.  I asked a friend of mine to make the cake!  She does a great job and it would have been a huge stress for me!

Our assistant pastors wife and daughters!  Love them!

They make me laugh...

The boys got little easter baskets from school one day.  So, I thought it would be fun to capture the moment and get some pictures of them....First of all, when they grow up they are going to wonder why their hair is always a mess in pics and it is because it is SOOOO traumatic to try and wet it and comb it.  You would think that I was pulling it out one at at time!  So that is why they have WOO head all the time.

This is the "if I smile then I get a chocolate" face

Both saying easter egg!!

Getting really excited about it!

Ok, enough mommy, let us EAT!

Moments of Sunshine...

We have had an unusually cold spring.  For example, we had snowflakes today!  However, there have been moments of sunshine when we could get out and scooter.  They LOVE their scooters!  They are both really fast on them.

Nate doing some kind of ninja move!

They went to a pirate party and got these telescopes.  The funny thing is that Nate ALWAY has it backwards!

Hmmmm, maybe I should turn it around?
