Ben took his first steps independently last night. The coolest thing about him doing it was that I was on the phone with my mom. Living overseas with a little guy is hard because grandparents don't get to be a part of a lot of the milestones along the way. It was really neat last night that I was talking to my mom when Allen and Ben were playing on the floor. The next thing I knew, Ben was walking! Of course, I screamed in my mom's ear, SORRY! But it was really fun to share that moment with her via the distance.
On a side note, my computer has finally kicked the bucket, so no pictures for awhile. The computer started out as a laptop, then last fall it became a desktop when the battery pack died and the cord is really finicky. Then for the last couple of months the screen has gotten dimmer and dimmer. Friday it decided it was tired and wasn't going to light up at all. We are working on getting a new one...Love you all!
Yahoo!!!! Ben's first step!!! That's SOOOO exciting!! Oh man, oh man! Looking forward to calling you this weekend and updating you on the wedding. Lauren and I are really excited - we know you and Allen can't be here, but really wish you could, so we've come up with some ways we'd love for you to be a part of the weekend! I'm looking forward to filling you in! (and I just heard the news about not coming back till Oct. :-( It stinks! It's such a bummer! Lauren & I were really looking forward to spending some time with you guys before we left at the end of September. Stink!)
