The Fourth

We had a great celebration for the Fourth of July. Not the greatest weekend but a great time with friends. Our boys have been sick 3 times now and I actually took Ben to the doctor on the morning of July 4th because he had been so ill. But it was just a sore throat! Then two days later Nate got the same thing. I just have to remember that they have lived on three different continents in the past year so it is understandable that they have gotten sick. However, we have not had any fevers since last Wednesday!! YEAH! Anyways, sorry a little ranting from the mommy, back to the Fourth. Some new friends invited us over to celebrate and since they had invited us at Easter but we cancelled because the boys were sick, we did not think it would be nice to cancel again because of illness (They might think we are trying to avoid them, which we are not!) Don't worry, I did not just take my sick kids over to their house without letting them know that we had been running fevers and been under the weather.

We are so glad we did not miss the celebrations! The hostess did a great job! The food was amazing!! We had ribs, corn on the cob, watermelon, bread, and of course dessert!

So, we all looked very festive in red, white, and blue and of course, I forgot to take a picture! Oh, the mommy brain sometimes is out of control.
