Christmas Day!

We had a great Christmas day just the four of us.  The pictures of the morning are all very blurry.  So I won't make you look through them.  Here is the after math.  The boys had a great morning and were worn out from the excitement.

Christmas Lunch!

Trying to get a family photo.

We thought if we did silly faces Ben would look at the camera,  not so much!

Ben and Nate both got guitars, Nate an orange one and Ben a red one.

Legos are a favorite right now!

Christingle Christmas Eve Service

On Christmas Eve, we went to a Christingle Service at our church.  It is a great service for our boys, short and to the point.  The gospel is always presented really clearly and it is a great way to start the celebrations.

This year Ben lit his candle for the first time!

Nate deconstructed his!

Craft Fun

ShoSho and Papa sent the boys some Gingerbread Men to decorate with Stickers.  The boys had a great afternoon of fun.

Ben was very serious about matching colors and wanting hands, feet, eyes, nose, etc.

Gr. Ma and Papa sent these coloring pads with stickers a long time ago but they boys love them and are still playing with them.  They did some coloring while I worked on food.

Noah's Ark Nativity

The week before Christmas, the boys Preschool had a nativity and Christmas party.  Ben was a shepherd and Nate was a sheep.  Ben wore stuff from our time in the ME which was fun and a friend had a sheep costume we borrowed for Nate.

They did a great job putting the nativity together.  All the children sat up front and when it was their part in the story they either stood up or moved to baby Jesus.  It was perfect.  There were songs throughout the story which the boys loved!  We watched a lot of You Tube videos in the weeks leading up to the nativity to figure out the songs, like "Christmas Pudding", "Little Donkey", and "Santa Got Stuck up the Chimney".  It has been really fun to see Ben and Nate working together to sing the songs and remember the words.

Throughout the story Ben's teacher would ask questions about the story.  Ben knew all the answers and shouted them out!  Reminds me of me!  He really has learned the Christmas story this year and it has been fun talking about it with them.  They do have a hard time with Joseph though, it is always "Jofus".

Nate was more interested in the party plates and chips set out for the party than the nativity.

Hiding from his daddy!

Some of the moms did face painting.  At the end of year party in June, the boys were nto insterested in getting their faces painted at all.  However, six months later, they were so excited about it!

Watching and patiently waiting their turn in the line.

Our spider man!

Nate becoming a tiger!  ROAR!

Checking out his tiger face!
