Friday morning it started to snow and by 9:15 when I dropped the boys at preschool, they had already decided to close early at 11:15. Everything was perfect. The temps were low and it started to come down in really fine snowflakes and grew heavier and bigger as the day went on. Allen got off work at noon. So, by the time we had lunch it was perfect to conditions to play in the back garden.
This is a side note, but I feel like I have arrived as a mom in the snow! My boys were warm and not crying because their hands or feet hurt by the time they came in!! I know it is silly but last year it was miserable for them because their gloves got wet and then their hands were cold and they wouldn't keep their gloves on. I bought water proof gloves at walmart while we were in the US but they are still too young for gloves. So, mom sent me waterproof mittens. Ben's work great! Nate won't wear his for whatever reason (probably because he is 2!). However, we had two sets of pretty thick mittens and he will double up and it keeps him warm! YEAH!
Ben found the lawn mower and then decided to pull his brother in the sled, or sledge if you are from here.
